The End of Puppyhood Fast Approaches
Yes, the countdown is on! Come July 8 I will not longer be a pug puppy, but merely a pug. My Parents thought that in recognition of my adulthood I should have a better harness, so they bought me a Puppia (TM).

If this is not dignity is a pug's body, then I do not know what is.

This is a side view of "El Guapo," as I am known to Daddy's very distant relatives (the one's we all try to pretend do not exist, primarily those on his mother's side, maybe even including her).

Look at how I am filling out!! Every bit the picture of masculine pug perfection.

Here I am in deep thought, struggling against the injustices of the world...that and Mommy pulling on the stupid leash.

Even though I am almost pug mature, I still occaisonally seek comfort between the legs of a parent. Those are Mommy's legs, which I am using for shelter from an aggressive hummingbird.
So, it's a nice enough harness, but as you can see from this action shot, I still had to try and shake it off.

This is my octopus that my parents bought for me for my 11th (month) birthday. I was really scared of it, but eventually I added it to my list of vanquished opponents.

Soon there shall be calamari...or is that squid? I guess it could be a squid.
I also got a big baseball, you can see it here in the background.

I also got an unexpected present for my birthday. Apparently in my old age, my ears are changing shape again. Or at least my right one is. Daddy spent a long time yanking on my left ear to make it as long as my right one, but to no avail.

I am still very cute, even in my increasingly advanced age.

Okay, no more pictures, I'm exhausted! I had a hard day!

Snarf Everydog later,

Wow, I can't believe you're almost 1, Winston! How time flies...

I like your harness, you look very handsome in it. My mom says that she has family she tries to forget about, too, (the crazy ones).

Puggy kisses
Suki

P.S. There are hummingbirds in WA? Hmmm...

Don't you worry little friend! I'm 1 year old for exactly 6 days! I don't know why the humans make such a fuss about it... I'm feeling the same... naughty, selfish, I'm the king of the world type... Hey nice harness!
Hugs!

Wow you're hitting a big milestone Winston. Being a whole year old is a lot of responsibilty. I think you can handle it.

(who also has her ears tugged on ALL THE TIME because Mom says I look like the Flying Nun).

You must be excited about your birthday Winston! I have the same octopus, I got it when I got spayed. Mommy and daddy won't let me play with it anymore cause I ripped one of the tentacles of. I'm waiting for mommy to fix it for me.
