Pictures continued
Normally I can rely on Mommy to save me from Daddy's annoying antics. When I saw this pink tutu I knew whose idea it was. When Daddy put it on I ran to mommy for help...BUT MOMMY JUST STRAIGHTENED IT OUT!!! I was so miserable. Masculinity personified is not meant to wear a pink tutu. =(

I seek out Mommy's help to rectify Daddy's intentional infliction of emotional distress. As I said, no help was forthcoming.

I stick my tongue out to show Daddy what I think. Aren't high nobles allow to have peons summarily executed? I should look into that.

I have to admit, aside from the humiliation, I think I looked pretty good in the tutu.

Sometimes I go to a happy place or seek out another distraction. Playing with my rope toy takes me to my happy place through distraction.

I later remembered how miserable I was and I decided it was time to pout.

I later realized...if you're gonna pout, why not do it from the comfort of a snuggle nest. I am out of the tutu now. I shall begin plotting my revenge.

These pictures precede the tutu, and I did not mind this shirt so much because at least it makes sense. The shirt is entitled "Obey the Pug" and it goes on to state "Rule #1- Obey the Pug, Rule #2- If the Pug is being unreasonable refer to rule #1." I thought the shirt meant that Mommy and Daddy were already trained. Evidently they just thought it was a joke.

What kind of imbeciles buy a shirt that is clearly too big? You'd think they'd never sized pug puppy clothes before.

If the sleeves are not rolled up it fits even worse.

Between the ill fitting "Obey the Pug" t-shirt and the tutu I was exhausted. Here I am taking comfort by Mommy's feet as she washes the dishes. My annoying Daddy refuses to stop taking pictures of me, but, as I said, he'll be dealt with.

Let's watch Winston sleep

His new best pal, the yellow ducky.

I get the cutest pictures of him when he's sleeping. Here he is sleeping soundly upon his pillow pyramid. He loves sleeping on his back.

He can sleep in seemingly uncomfortable positions.

Only the camera flash occasionally bothers him.

For some reason he wanted to attack Ana's coffee. Luckily for him Ana puts so much cream in it that it probably tastes like milk.

He likes keeping track of his wiener dog football toy.

He is such a little porker.
Winston's first vet trip and bath
I have many more pictures to show, but Blogspot has been very difficult recently and won't allow me to post anymore pictures even though I am nowhere near my memory limit. Hopefully it'll get fixed soon. These pictures just scratch the surface.
He was very excited during his first exam. Aside from being a little flea bag (only a few) Winston was pronounced to be in good health. The entire vet staff was extremely excited at meeting a seven week old pug, and there was unanimous agreement that he is adorable.

His first bath. He did not like it at all.

Here, he thinks we'll change our mind if he gives us "the look." He was incorrect. Feeling quite betrayed by his humans.

This is what a pug that just suffered a traumatic experience looks like.

Luckily, their memory is short.

He goes annoyed to adorable in 2.8 seconds.

Mommy and baby sleeping.

This is the pillow pyramid that he requires us to build for him if he is to sleep, and we only sleep if he sleeps.

Relaxing with his pig toy. Somehow a second pig toy appeared, so we either bought two and Winston found the second one, or the stuffed pigs are reproducing.

Winston is finally home!!!!
After a long wait of five weeks, little Winston is finally home (he's a healthy seven weeks). I said previously that I Winston would take over and that I would not post until Friday...I lied on both accounts. When I was showing Winston how to use blogspot it suddenly started giving me problems. I seem to have fixed it by erasing the cookies on my computer, but I will play with it for a day to ensure that Winston does not feel inadequate if the system or my computer go haywire. Winston is adjusting very well and, due to blogspot problems, there are two posts of pictures, so check them both out.

This was actually when he was resting on his snuggle nest, but I wanted to start with a really cute one.
Sleeping on his first car ride.

This is a good view of both his snuggle nest and toy box, which is, of course, full of pug toys.

Ana holding Winston right when we were about to take him home (I'm sorry the pictures are out of order, you have to do a reverse order thing on blogspot and it's hard to fix mistakes).

Sleeping on the ride home. In the brief time I've known him I have noticed a pattern of heavy play followed by deep sleep.

Close up.

When he was sleeping Ana moved the basket that we had him in for the trip further down her legs to facilitate the taking of pictures. When he woke up and realized this he promptly jumped out of the basket (mostly) and onto Ana's lap to be as close to his human as possible. He is such a pug.

Sleeping. What a surprise.

Attacking Ana at home with his beloved pig toy in the foreground and his snuggle nest beneath.
Don't forget to go on to the next post.
More photos of Winston

Here he is playing with my sandal.

Playing with Ana and his little pig toy.

More pig toy fun.

He also loves this wiener dog with a football helmet on. He chews primarily on the ears.

I'm trying to play with him here, but he seems to have gotten distracted by something (probably a breeze).

Besting the pig toy once and for all!

Eating a teeny tiny doggy bone.

Surrounded by me and some of his toys.

Chillin in his snuggle nest after several hours of play.

Update:
Our breeder informed us that Winston will be ready to come home this Thursday (August 24), so look for cute puppy posts on Friday (we will be too busy playing with him Thursday to post). Once Winston is here he will take over the postings. Blogspot is simple enough that I have confidence that he can figure it out. Below is definitive proof that we went to Texas (the Alamo). The weather was lousy, with all but one day being over 100 degrees.

The Alamo. It looks pretty at night and the temperature is bearable. For those who have not been there: the main building is surprisingly small and there is no basement.

This is one of my parent's dogs. Her name is Sophie and she is my favorite of the bunch. She weighs 110 pounds and her primary job is to be a speed bump in the hallway. She excels at her job and, despite he stature, is the most kind and Zen dog that you'll ever meet.

Engaging in her favorite pastime.

This is her best bud Roxy, who also loves laying around but maintains a trim figure by running around a lot in the Texas heat. However, she still knows how to calm down once inside the house.

A nice picture of pretty Roxy.

This is the new kid Mr. Bones. He does not yet know how to behave in the house. The leash is a like a portable crate that my parents use to prevent accidents by keeping an eye on him while he is inside. He is estimated to be four months old and literally followed my parents home one day about a month ago. At the time he was emaciated, hence his name, but he has recovered at an amazing rate and is now getting to enjoy his puppyhood. My dad is confident he can mold him in the image of Sophie and Roxy. I think he has his work cut out for him, but Bones is very cute.

This is Amigo (Migo for short). He is Ana's dog back home in Ohio. He's a mutt that Ana loves very much, and who I was required to post if I was to post any pictures of my parent's dogs.
