I was tagged by Pug and Bugg and Winston and Clementine to post a Memoir MeMe. The rule is, write a six word memoir. Here is mine, and to show what a great brother I am, I let Cosette do one too.

Winston: Lazy, One-eyed, Hates Dogs, Loves Balls.

Cosette: Brand New, Cute, Not Much Else.

Here are some more pictures of Cosette. Personally, I don't see what all the fuss is about, but if my loyal reader wants more pictures of her, I will post them. I aim to please.

She is too weak to stand up to my Parents and refuse to wear their stoopid clothes. She pranced around in this dress like she might even ENJOY wearing it. Silly girl.

Psst, Cosette here. I have to whisper so Winston doesn't hear, but some leaves were blowing around outside so he is distracted for now. My plans to lure Winston into a false sense of security is working perfectly. It is only a matter of time before I take over this blog and turn it into something respectable. So stay tuned.

A Humanitarian at Heart
I know that some of you may be wondering why I have gone easy on the stray. The truth is that I, despite a totalitarian streak that belies my petite stature (by human standards), have a soft side. In much that same way that kind hearted people adopt stray children, I have taken to adopting a stray that is in need of a good home ... and who my parents made clear would be staying even if the house became a "one dog home" again. I took the last line to be a subtle eviction threat.

This is Daddy doing what he always does with stoopid puppies. She is quite a porker!

This is a kiss-a-trois between Daddy, the stray, and myself.

The potential usefulness that I previously spoke of is already coming to fruition. This is an awesome game of tug-o-war that we got into. Naturally I won since I am a striking physical specimen by any standards.

VICTORY!!!!! Look as the pain of losing rips the inner soul of the loser (right, with pink collar).

This is the rematch that I allowed her to show that my first victory was no fluke.

After a long 15 minutes of playing, it was time for a nap. Being the good brother I am, I made sure Cosette was tucked in and comfortable before I went to sleep.

What is not shown is the little brat waking up and taking a nice bite out of the strange hairy rope lying upon her chest. I yelped and then sought refuge atop a higher perch (the back of the couch).

Introducing the Stray
The Dog that my parents refer to as "Cosette Colbert d'Bonapug" came to stay with us this Saturday and despite my initial misgivings, things seem to be going well. She seems somewhat dimwitted and capable of being easily manipulated ... therefore, she may prove herself to be useful at some point in time.

This is her being invested as an Honorary Duchess of Pugsworth. She apparently is French and has a French title, meaning that someday she will be accorded the honor of signing some documents of surrender.

Despite liking her somewhat, I still feel that the crown does not suit her since high responsibility is clearly beyond her. For crying out loud she sleeps 22 hours a day (two hours more than myself, meaning I am twice as productive).

This is her at the breeders before my parents took her home. They think she is "cute" for some reason.

This is her playing with a new pig toy my parents got her, she is also seeking shelter from yours truly behind my Daddy's legs.

This is us chilling on Mommy's lap during one of our moments of detente.

This is what she does most of the time. Lazy stray.

This is me trying to coax her to make something of her life. I was unsuccessful in this instance.

She seems incapable of controlling her tongue. Below is the video of the first time we ever met. My parents set it up to get the event on camera.

Abandonment and Torture
So, my parents completely abandoned me at this new doggy daycare where I had to play with other dogs all day long for FIVE DAYS STRAIGHT. I don't know what brought on this torture, but I am glad to be home. If my parents think they are going to do that to me ever again, they have another think coming. I am consulting with PIA to determine an appropriate punishment.

I mean, how could anyone leave this face?

And apparently they left me for these. I don't know what kind of weird, flying, legless dogs these are, but I do know they are nowhere near as cute as I am. [Parents' Note: This is the National Aquarium in Baltimore]

I just don't get it.
On the bright side, my Mommy did bring me home a new toy, a Maryland Crab.

It has squeakies in its claws, lots of legs to chew on, and a grunter in its body. This might mitigate my parents' punishment.

It has already become one of my sleeping buddies. Which is good, because after all that torture at the neverending daycare, I have a lot of naps to catch up on.

Even MORE Cosette!
Winston's Mom here. Winston has been abandoned at Doggy Haven Resort for a few days while I go out of town. I'm sure he will have many tales of the torture he endures there to tell when he comes home on Monday. In the mean time, I figured this was my perfect chance to hijack the blog and post a few more pictures of Cosette.

Apparently she is already quite the little chewer. And those ears finally folded over, how cute!

She is also eating solid puppy food. That is her with her entire body in the food bowl. Her pug mentality is already showing itself.

And, she chews furniture as well as fingers. She and Winston will get along great! Note her round puppy belly, and her tail is starting to curl.

More Cosette!
My Mommy bribed me into putting up a new picture of the stray by performing emergency surgery on my number one BFF, my strawberry. I was worried this would be one too many surgeries on the strawberry, but it came out looking like new (almost). So anyway, here she is.

Only TWO WEEKS from this Saturday until Cosette comes home.

Here I am at that age. Looks like Cosette may be a little bit more energetic than I am.

Oldies but Goodies
I am very loyal to all of my toys. Some of my favorite BFFs today are toys that were here for me on the first day I came to my forever home. Like my strawberry, and Alberto Gonzalez the original; two toys my loyal reader has heard about a lot.

My Parents used to have this comforter. As you can see, I was very comfortable lying around and sleeping on it. It was also like a toy to me. I spent many enjoyable evenings chewing holes in it, like I do with my other toys. Then one day, for reasons I do not know, my parents brought home a new comforter. They threw this old one on the floor while they were putting the new one on the bed, and I immediately started nesting in the old comforter on the floor, and made a bed out of it. My Parents thought I looked too cute to take the comforter away from me, so for several weeks I got to lay on the old comforter on the floor, and I got to keep on digging in it and chewing holes in it to my hearts content. Then today my Mommy took the old comforter away. I was very concerned, of course, because I never enjoy losing a toy.

Then, tonight, my Mommy gave this tiny little blanket. After a few sniffs, I realized it was the old comforter, only it shrunk!

I was okay with it being smaller, because it still smells the same and is still just as comfortable to lay on, and even better now I can drag it all over the house.

So that's what I did all night - ran around the house dragging my new blanket with me.

Here is another toy that was here waiting for me on my first day home. Back then, it was almost as big as me!

Now I am a little bit bigger, but that is the same cow, and it is still one of my favorite BFFs.

I sure do love my toys!

Now this is what I call a cute pug!

In anticipation of the stray coming home [Parents' Note: Cosette should be coming home on May 3, so only about three more weeks until we will take over Winston's blog to post tons of cute puppy pictures!], I thought I should post some cute pictures of myself from the past year and a half to remind my loyal reader who the real cute one is around here.

Here I am looking cute sitting in Daddy's closet while he works on his computer.

Here I am being cute AND helpful - I went outside and found a toy to play with all by myself, so my parents wouldn't have to go buy me a new toy that day.

Here I am studying the ways of another cute pug.

Now I have grown into a very handsome pug. Just look at this face, how can that little stray be cuter than me??

Temporary Regime Change

Well, my loyal reader will have to forgive me for the lack of my normal wit and wisdom in this and several upcoming posts. My Daddy has once again abandoned me, and since he will be gone for almost three weeks this time, my Mommy will have to help me with my posts. As some of you may remember, my Mommy does not really inspire me to be funny the same way my Daddy does, so don't expect these next few weeks' posts to live up to my normal standards.

Here I am kissing my Daddy goodbye. I will miss our makeout sessions for sure.

Another bad side effect of Daddy being gone is that Mommy has more time to take me to the dog park, which as you all know I could really do without. Here I am looking across the lake trying to send my concern rays to Daddy so he will come back home.

Of course, I can't really deny that I like playing frisbee, so that part of the dog park is not too horrible. Plus, look at how trim and muscular this action shot makes me look! If that's not a good looking pug, I don't know what is.

AND, I even bring the frisbee back! Good looking and brilliant.

But of course I am only really happy when I am sleeping or close to sleeping, and I am especially happy when I am sleeping with my strawberry.
