This blog is dedicated to recording the thoughts of a little pug named Winston, the Grand Duke of Pugsworth, as he struggles through a pampered existence.

Introducing the Stray The Dog that my parents refer to as "Cosette Colbert d'Bonapug" came to stay with us this Saturday and despite my initial misgivings, things seem to be going well. She seems somewhat dimwitted and capable of being easily manipulated ... therefore, she may prove herself to be useful at some point in time.
This is her being invested as an Honorary Duchess of Pugsworth. She apparently is French and has a French title, meaning that someday she will be accorded the honor of signing some documents of surrender.
Despite liking her somewhat, I still feel that the crown does not suit her since high responsibility is clearly beyond her. For crying out loud she sleeps 22 hours a day (two hours more than myself, meaning I am twice as productive).
This is her at the breeders before my parents took her home. They think she is "cute" for some reason.
This is her playing with a new pig toy my parents got her, she is also seeking shelter from yours truly behind my Daddy's legs.
This is us chilling on Mommy's lap during one of our moments of detente.
This is what she does most of the time. Lazy stray.
This is me trying to coax her to make something of her life. I was unsuccessful in this instance.
She seems incapable of controlling her tongue. Below is the video of the first time we ever met. My parents set it up to get the event on camera.
Winston! We think your new stray IS cute! You will love her, we think. Plus, you can pull rank on her and definitely use her to your liking. That's what I do with Dixie here... she's not too bright, just like a little stray. Keep posting pictures of you two! We can't wait to see how you will use her as your pawn!
Winston!!! Your new stray is adorable. She reminds me of Rukia, but plumper. I don't know why, but my little Rukia is unusually small.
And I'm with Lucy. You seem frightened of her in that video. I'm surprised you allowed your humans to post a video that casts you in such an...emasculating light!?!
Will we soon see pictures of little Cossie sleeping your YOUR toy chest?
So the stray has come home to roost :-( If I read the signs correctly in the video, you somehow failed to achieve initial dominance. Did you underestimate her because of her small size? Your life as the alpha pug is now officially over. It seemed like a good run. Btw, no offense, but you might want to cut back on the between-meal-treats.
Bwahahah! You're scared of a puppy! She is awfully cute though. The only thing you should be scared of is her using her cuteness to steal the delicious treats that are rightfully yours.
Welcome to My Blog- Now Submit to My Tyrannical Rule
On Pugs:
In the whole catalogue of the canine species, there is not one of less utility, or possessing less the powers of attraction than the Pug Dog, applicable to no sport, appropriate to no useful purpose, susceptible of no predominant passion, and in no way whatever remarkable for any extra eminence, he has continued from era to era for what alone he might have been originally intended, the patient follower of a ruminating philosopher, or the adulating and consolatory companion of an old maid.
I'm a pug puppy that was born on July 8, 2006. I have a face that entitles me to get away with murder and, if all goes according to plan, I shall be able to freely manipulate my Humans as soon as they are properly trained. I foresee a pampered existence for myself, and will do whatever is necessary to see that it comes to be. Now (getting into character) I shall transform myself into an innocent dumb angel...and the Humans will be none the wiser. P.S.- I LOVE COMPLIMENTS! Feel free to leave me a message.
The story of the stray my parents brought home one day, aka "Cosette Colbert d'Bonapug"
Cosette is my little sister, born March 3, 2008. I am not sure how exactly my parents found her, but I am guessing that while they were out playing without me one day, they saw her wandering around and, in a momentary lapse of judgment, decided to bring her home. [Parents' Note: Cosette was not a stray, as much as we admire people who adopt pets who are or were strays, or from shelters, we got Cosette from a wonderful breeder and know that from the minute she was born, she has been nothing but pampered.] I guess she's not really so horrible, we play a lot but she also likes to sleep almost as much as I do, and she is even more snuggly than me, if you can imagine that. Unlike me, she is a social butterfly and loves to play with any other dog, person, or stuffie she sees, although, she is terrified of cats. She seems to be stuck in permanent puppy-hood and is the source of constant amusement for me and my parents.

Oh Winston, I have to admit that she is really cute. It's all over for you man. She may be French, but you're the one who will have to surrender. :)
Winston, I hate to say it but you looked scared of her in that video. She had her tail wagging and wanted to play, what are you scared of?

Hi Winston,
You look so cute in the video! Now please avert your eyes so my mom can leave a message for your parents. :)
